Build quizzes in the AI you already use.

Connect QuizGen once. Then ask ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or your editor to create hosted quizzes, manage them, and read the answers back.

ONE-TIME SETUP

Three steps. Then just ask.

No packages to host and no local process to keep running. QuizGen is a remote MCP server.

01 / CHOOSE

Pick your client

Use the workbench above to get the exact deep link, terminal command, configuration, or server URL for your AI.

02 / AUTHORIZE

Sign in securely

Your client opens QuizGen in the browser. Sign in and approve the connection; there is no API key to paste into chat.

03 / ASK

Describe the workflow

Ask for a quiz in plain language, share the hosted link, then return later and ask your AI to summarize the responses.

CLIENT GUIDES

Setup guides for every client

Choose the place where you work. The page will take you back to its exact setup in the workbench.

OPTIONAL SECOND STEP

Give your AI the QuizGen playbook.

MCP gives your AI access. The skill teaches it stronger quiz design, the full schema, and how to recover cleanly when a plan limit is reached. Download the ZIP for Claude or ChatGPT, or use the command in Codex and other coding agents.

AFTER YOU CONNECT

Prompts worth trying

QuizGen MCP is most useful when you ask for the whole job, not one field at a time.

CREATE + PUBLISH

Create a five-question client intake form asking for name, budget, timeline, goals, and what they have already tried. Publish it and give me the link.

READ + ANALYZE

Check the responses to my client intake quiz. Summarize the common goals, show the budget breakdown, and list the strongest leads first.

SEND + FOLLOW UP

Email my onboarding quiz to alex@example.com and schedule one reminder in three days if they have not completed it.

THE TOOLKIT

Tools your AI can use

This is not a documentation lookup. Your assistant can perform real QuizGen actions and return live results.

01 / BUILD

Create and edit quizzes

Generate a hosted quiz, replace its definition, or open and close submissions while keeping the same public URL.

create_quiz · update_quiz · set_quiz_status · delete_quiz

02 / INSPECT

Find and review your work

Confirm the connected account, list quizzes, retrieve the full definition, and inspect one quiz without leaving the assistant.

check_account · list_quizzes · get_quiz

03 / ANSWERS

Read responses and stats

Retrieve individual answers, review all responses, and summarize completion and scoring data.

get_responses · get_response · get_quiz_stats

04 / AUTOMATE

Send and follow up

Email quiz links, check delivery history, schedule reminders, and send completion events to a webhook.

send_quiz_by_email · get_sends · set_follow_up · set_webhook

UNDER THE HOOD

How QuizGen MCP works

One URL for browsers and agents

Humans who open the endpoint see this page. MCP clients send requests to the same address and receive the machine protocol. That keeps setup simple and gives every client one canonical server URL.

https://quizgen.dev/mcp

Start without an account

An unauthorized connection can create a temporary sandbox quiz for 72 hours with up to 10 responses. QuizGen returns a private claim link so you can sign in and keep it permanently.

Authorize for your account

Connect the endpoint and your client opens a browser window to authorize QuizGen — sign in and the connection is linked to your account. Server-to-server integrations can send an API key as a Bearer header instead, but you should never paste a private key into a chat message.

FAQ

Questions about QuizGen MCP

Do I need a QuizGen account?
Not for the first test. A keyless client can create a temporary sandbox quiz. Sign in through the claim link to keep it and manage its answers permanently.
Which AI clients work with QuizGen?
QuizGen uses remote streamable HTTP MCP. It works with ChatGPT custom connectors, Claude remote connectors, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, and other clients that support that transport.
Does my AI see every response automatically?
Read-back tools work once you authorize QuizGen in the browser (server-to-server integrations can send an API key as a Bearer header instead). Unauthorized sandbox connections can create quizzes, then you claim them to read responses from your account.
Is the MCP endpoint different from the website?
No. The canonical endpoint is https://quizgen.dev/mcp. Browsers receive this human setup page, while MCP clients use the same URL for protocol requests.
Where are the technical specifications?
Use the API documentation, LLM-oriented docs, or the machine-readable OpenAPI specification.
