The flag quiz. No signup, no timer, no mercy.
One flag at a time, four countries to pick from, wrong answers drawn from the same region so you can't coast on continents. Ten flags if you're on the bus, twenty if you have something to prove.
One flag, four countries, no timer. Wrong answers come from the same region, so 🇷🇴 won't hide behind four flags from four continents. Your score, streak, and grade are tallied as you go.
Drawn from ~130 countries, reshuffled every round. No account, nothing leaves your browser.
How this quiz scores you
Every answer is marked the moment you tap it — green for right, red for wrong, with the correct country named so a miss still teaches you something. A running score and a streak counter keep the pressure on, and at the end you get a grade: S for a perfect round, A for 80%+, B for 60%+, C for a humbling.
This page is also us eating our own cooking. Instant right/wrong feedback, points per question, grade bands, a results screen with a share link — that's exactly the scoring story every QuizGen quiz gets. The difference is you don't write a page of React to get it: you describe the quiz to the AI assistant you already use, and QuizGen returns it live at a link.
Make your own scored quiz
A trivia night round, a training check for new hires, a “how well do you know the couple” quiz for a wedding — anything with right answers works the same way. Tell your assistant what to ask and what counts as correct, and the quiz comes back hosted, scored, and ready to share:
Free plan: 3 live quizzes, 100 responses a month. Responses land in a dashboard, unlike this page, which keeps no score but yours.
Common questions
How many flags are in the quiz?
Each round shows a flag with four country names — one right, three wrong. The wrong answers come from the same region as the right one, so a Baltic flag gets Baltic neighbours, not Fiji. It draws from a hand-picked set of about 130 countries mixing gimmes like Japan with menaces like Chad and Romania, and reshuffles every round, so no two rounds are the same.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, no account, no signup wall before your score. The whole quiz runs in your browser — nothing you answer is sent anywhere. The flags themselves are emoji, which is why the page loads with no images at all.
What do the grades mean?
S is a perfect round. A is 80% or better, B is 60% or better, C is below that. The 20-flag challenge is graded on the same scale as the quick round — it's just twice as many chances to meet a flag you've never thought about.
Why do some flags look different on my device?
Flags are rendered as emoji by your operating system, so a flag looks however your OS draws it. One real caveat: some browsers on Windows show two-letter country codes instead of flag emoji. That accidentally turns this into a much harder quiz about country codes — play on a phone or a Mac for the intended experience.
How does sharing my score work?
The share button gives you a link with your score in it, like /flag-quiz?r=18-20. Anyone who opens it sees your score as a challenge to beat, and the link preview in chat apps shows it too — that's what makes people click.
Can I make a quiz like this myself?
Yes, and you don't build it by hand. Describe the quiz to the AI assistant you already use — Claude or ChatGPT with QuizGen connected — and you get back a live hosted quiz at a link, with right answers, points, and a results screen. The free plan covers 3 live quizzes and 100 responses a month.
